Genuine ELGIN watch in overall good condition, expect minor signs of wear consistent with age. The watch has been tested at the time of listing and is operational.
The 1950s Elgin watch, known as the “Golf Ball” due to its distinctive dimpled face, stands out not just for its digital display but also its unique design. This manually operated timepiece boasts an Elgin cal 717 movement and is encased in a 30mm 10k gold-filled and stainless steel frame.
Elgin watches have been a hallmark of American timekeeping for over a century, worn by notable figures like Buffalo Bill Cody, President Warren G. Harding, and Babe Ruth. As the leading American watch manufacturer, Elgin’s creations are not just tools for telling time but are cherished heirlooms and collector’s items for enthusiasts of American horology.
This particular Lord Elgin model exemplifies a blend of the past and future, featuring a mechanical digital display for both hours and minutes while retaining a vintage allure. It’s an entirely “American Made” testament to innovative yet timeless design.

LORD ELGIN Clubman 1951 21J Mechanical 680 14k Gold Filled

US$449.99
Introducing the ever-favored Lord Elgin Clubman wristwatch, model 4811, hailing from 1951.
This manual-wind timepiece features the original Elgin movement caliber grade 556, boasting 21 jewels, a sub-second feature, and adjustments to 5 positions. Proudly made in the U.S.A., it’s encased in a 30mm round case crafted entirely from 14K gold fill. The watch showcases a unique lug design complemented by a black enamel bezel. Please be aware of a slight scratch near one of the lugs (refer to the photo) – this doesn’t impact its functionality in any way.
The watch presents a mesmerizing ivory honeycomb-patterned dial paired with gold-toned hands. Positioned at 6 is the sub-second, and the dial bears both the iconic Lord Elgin and DuraPower logos. I’ve never sought servicing for the watch during my ownership as it operates and maintains accurate time, but a service might be beneficial. Appreciate your interest!
